Ayrah's B'day Do - Preparations

Ayrah's 1st birthday is coming soon..... and dear daddy has been tasked to get decorations and lucky draw gifts from KL. So on 2 days' straight, I drove all the way to IKEA and got these :

Right, that's sorted out, now mommy has to do her share too..... right dear? Hehehe.....

Weekend (sort of) .....

It's Saturday. Here I am, finally in KL, in my own room with access to everything, after all those travelling, and I'm bored! How is this possible?!

I'm feeling envious of my parents, who are enjoying Jakarta right now. Wish I could tag along, but then, I have to catch a flight to Kerteh tomorrow.

Wanted to go back to Brunei and spent time with my wife and kids, but then, I have to catch a flight to Kerteh tomorrow.

Feel like going out about town, but then, it's raining.

Switched on my PC to surf, but then, the Internet connection is intermittent.

Turned on the dumb tube, but then, nothing interesting is on right now.

Heck, what am I suppose to do?!

Oh yeah, some updates :

1. Maxis gave me a new phone for free. It's a Nokia N73, a 3G phone with a 3.2 MP camera. Spent this morning traipsing around IKEA with the phone in my hand, doing a virtual tour with my wife. Thank God for video calls!

2. Ayrah can now pull herself up on anything, ending up standing and looking pleased with herself. Can't wait for her to start walking!

3. Supposed to move to a new office location in KL yesterday, but looks like that's postponed, again. Some nitwit thinks that the people who's moving will steal some stuff, and wanted to inspect the boxes before the movers haul them up. As if we're all thieves! Such nerves!

4. Rumours had it that this month, everyone will get an increment between 7 - 15% based on past performances, no. of years in service and a thing called "quadrant", the latter being a term for some secretive calculations (typical of the HR people). Hmm, let's hope I get at least 10%, then I can get my Oakley prescription glasses.
